Foxes and Badgers:

In Foxes and Badgers this week, we have been making the most of the glorious sunshine and have spent lots of our time outside. Whilst up the woods, we have done whittling (peeling carrots). This has helped us get prepared for whittling wood in a couple of weeks. We have been playing on our climbing frame. We have been working hard to develop our climbing and jumping. We have been learning about minibeasts. We have spent time in rich discussion around what we already know about minibeasts and what we would like to know next. We went on a minibeast hunt. Whilst exploring, we found lots of ants hiding under pots and other small creatures. We noticed that there were bees flying around looking for something… we had a discussion around how bees collect nectar for their honey. As a result of their keen interest in minibeasts, the children made lots of different minibeasts and a huge sunflower for our beautiful display. We can’t wait to watch this display evolve over the summer season!
