Foxes blog:
This week in Foxes, we have been developing and embedding different mathematical skills. We have practised our counting. We use ‘touch it, move it and say it’ to help embed our one to one correspondence. Across our continuous provision, we have explored different shapes. This has been through our fine motor skills where we have used shapes on our ‘tip and tap boards’ to create pictures but also, within our construction area. Within the construction area, we have used our stacking skills in line with our ‘stages of block play’ to stack different shapes upon another. Moving into our rhyme time zone, we have been exploring our rhyme spoons. We love ‘Wind the Bobbin up!’. We have been practising our actions ahead of our story share with parents. Finally, we have enjoyed being messy in our sensory play zone. We have practised our colour mixing with our hands!
