Hedgehogs blog:

This term we have been practicing our fine motor skills. We have used scissors to snip our paper. Some of us found this a bit tricky at first but we are using our Personal, Social and Emotional skills to keep trying. We have also participated in threading activities. We have been making patterns and using new and interesting shapes. We have focused on filling and emptying in our Water Area. We have enjoyed using different objects to fill and empty large and small containers.

It SNOWED at the Centre! The children had lots of fun exploring the rare sight of snow! At first they were unsure but soon became happy to touch and play with it, talking about how cold it was and then watching it melt away. We used this to extend the children's learning by providing fake snow to play with, and we also make penguins and snowmen.
