Hedgehogs:

In Hedgehogs this week, the children have been busy with many interactive activities. At the creative table, they have been making their own shakers! They have used wooden spoons to fill their coloured eggs with different shapes and colours of pasta. They were amazed by the sounds that they created. It was wonderful to see the children’s growing coordination whilst putting them together and how happy they were with their end result.

Many of the children had fun with their key adults being part of bucket activities. The children listened beautifully and maintained good focus in the activities. For our sensory play this week, the children were incredibly excited to explore the cold, sticky texture of the jelly that was placed in the tray. They used tweezers in their dominant hand to continue to develop their fine motor skills. They were able to pick up fruit pieces from the jelly!
