Foxes and Badgers:

In Foxes and Badgers this week, the children have been focusing hard on their Pip and Pap Phonics. We have been focusing on Pip and Pap’s journey and experience of a swimming pool! The children have been putting on their clothes in preparation for swimming. Once they are ready for swimming, the adults have been modelling to the children how they can put their clothes into lockers - just like they would at the swimming pool. The children were given locks and keys to lock their lockers. To focus on our mark making, we have been part of tummy time! The children have been making marks on cardboard and large boxes. The children have been able to make marks in  a range of different ways - crayons, colouring pencils and pens. When we have been exploring our outside area after the rain, the children have really enjoyed being in the mud kitchen. The wet mud has meant that children were successful in making fantastic mud pies! The children could scoop, tip, pat and pour their own mud pies before roleplaying with their friends around them. We have taken these roleplaying skills inside. The children have been exploring our home corner and using their imagination in a shop roleplay scenario. They have been buying their new school uniform ready for starting school.
