In Hedgehogs, we are celebrating the Lunar New Year! What an exciting celebration! Our key workers explained to us that each year is marked by a different animal - I wonder which animal will be your birth year?

This year is the Year of the Snake so, we have been exploring snakes! We began by spending our time in the Creative Area. Here, we focused on our joining skills. We have been threading pieces of paper together to make a chain - this has acted as the body of our snake. We carefully wrapped round string and wool to our other snakes too! We used our cutting skills to make spiral snakes - aren’t they wonderful?!

We finished our celebrations by spending time in our Home Corner. This has been themed ready to celebrate the New Year. As part of this, we have made our own lanterns. We used our dip, wipe and stick skills to ensure that our colourful paper was secure.
